DPM Sar Kheng Instructs Relevant Authorities to Effectively Suppress Crime in Preah Sihanouk Province

PREAH SIHANOUK: The Minister of Interior, Deputy Prime Minister Sar Kheng, has instructed General Neth Savoeun to cooperate with the Chairman of the Provincial Unity Command to effectively crack down on crime in Preah Sihanouk Province.

DPM Sar Kheng delivered this instruction at the closing ceremony of the meeting to review the work of 2021, and the work direction of 2022, of the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Administration on the morning of Wednesday, 9 March.

The Interior Minister urged the National Police Commissioner, General Neth Savoeun, to cooperate with the Chairman of the Provincial Unity Command, Kouch Chamroeun, to crack down on crime in Sihanoukville, in order to restore and increase the confidence of the people and investors in Preah Sihanouk Province, as well as to restore the honor of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

He added that the provincial administration must go to the grassroots level to grasp the various difficulties and challenges the people face, and the requests they have to tackle these problems, in order to help them become resolved on time.

At the same time, DPM Sar Kheng also expressed high praise and appreciation for the achievements of the provincial administration in 2021, including the public services provided to the people and investors, the effective prevention of the spread of Covid-19, and the tackling of other crimes that occurred in Sihanoukville.
